Fixing specialist Rapid powers up collaboration with Bosch

One battery, across several brands, all in the name of improved flexibility and simplicity for users. This is the promise made by fixing specialist Rapid and the other leading global brands Bosch, Gardena, Wagner and Gloria, with their POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE. For Rapid, this collaboration means a new market segment and increased sales.

”The collaboration marks an exciting new phase for Rapid’s global presence. We’re taking on a new segment of the market. With the launch of five new tools, we will go from being a notable supplier of fixing products, to also being a power tools provider to our larger customers,” says CEO of Rapid, Mikael Schentz.

With the POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE, Bosch has opened up its Home and Garden 18V battery-platform and invited leading, strong manufacturers to together offer home users the greatest application variety in and around the home. For the end customer, not only does this mean that they can choose their favourite brand, but that they get access to top-notch products in the range, using one single battery system. Customers will also save money, time and space when one battery replaces several. For Rapid, it represents an essential positioning for the future, allowing the company to access a new market segment and take its place among other large players.

Rapid was handpicked by Bosch to be part of the alliance. A lot of criteria needed to be met to be included in the collaboration. Benjamin Brechter, Head of Business Unit Home and Garden, Bosch Power Tools recognised a lot of strengths in Rapid. He explains, “we look at global brands who are leaders in their segment and who have a strong record of good reviews in terms of consumer focus, innovation and capacity for development. We saw all of this and a lot more at Rapid and so we invited them to join the alliance, which we’re very happy about.”
